Whole-Home Remodeling
One plan for every room. We rework 90s and 2000s floor plans into open, light spaces with updated systems throughout. Production or semi-custom, the whole house gets rebuilt around your family.
As the general contractor Allen homeowners trust with their biggest projects, The JBN Group plans whole-home remodels, kitchens, and additions across this Collin County railroad town turned family suburb. Every plan fits your floor plan, your lot, and how your family lives. One contractor you can hold to account, from first walk to final walk.
Allen was platted in 1876 for the Houston and Texas Central Railway and named for Ebenezer Allen, a former Texas Attorney General and railroad promoter. Cottonwood Creek made it an ideal water stop for steam locomotives, and the 1874 stone dam there is the only one of its kind known to remain in the United States.
The town earned a wilder claim to fame on February 22, 1878, when the Sam Bass gang committed the first successful train robbery in Texas at Allen Station. Theodore Roosevelt stopped here in 1905, the first U.S. president to visit. The interurban ran from 1908 to 1948, and the town was still just 400 people when it incorporated in 1953.
Then came US-75 and DFW Airport, and Allen exploded into a family suburb of production and semi-custom neighborhoods. Those homes are hitting remodel age now. It pays to hire a general contractor Allen homeowners trust for work that fits either.

Allen's mix of production and semi-custom homes means the work spans two levels: smart updates to production layouts, and elevated finishes on semi-custom builds. These are the four jobs we run most here. One builder accountable for each.

One plan for every room. We rework 90s and 2000s floor plans into open, light spaces with updated systems throughout. Production or semi-custom, the whole house gets rebuilt around your family.

Allen kitchens should feel fresh and functional. We open closed layouts, add islands that fit the room, and finish with cabinetry and stone that last.See our kitchen remodeling work →

Primary suites, second living areas, home offices. On Allen's brick homes the addition has to match the original flawlessly. We tie it in so clean it looks original.

Beam installs, wall removal, and reframes. The jobs where electric, plumbing, and HVAC all move at once. Sequencing is the whole skill.
Tell us what is not working. The kitchen that no longer impresses. The floor plan that almost accommodates your family. The house you have outgrown. We will give you a straight answer about which project fixes it.
Allen sits in Collin County about twenty miles north of downtown Dallas, a railroad water stop that grew into one of the Metroplex's premier family suburbs. The historic dam on Cottonwood Creek still stands as the only stone railroad dam of its kind known to remain in the country.
The city grew fast once US-75 and DFW Airport opened the door, and most of the housing stock is production and semi-custom homes from the 90s and 2000s. Allen's neighborhoods are known for strong schools, parks, and the Allen Event Center that draws the region for concerts and hockey.
Those 90s and 2000s homes are hitting their first major remodel window: original kitchens, closed floor plans, and primary suites that feel dated. It pays to hire a general contractor Allen homeowners trust to do it right.

The City of Allen runs building permits through the Building Permits Department (214-509-4130, permit@allentx.gov). Residential projects go through the city's online permitting system.
Allen's neighborhoods are largely HOA-governed, and many have architectural review boards. Exterior changes need approval before work starts. We line up city and HOA approvals together so nothing stalls mid-project.

No two Allen remodels cost the same, and our estimates start as low as $10,000. Swapping in a quartz sink and updated fixtures runs far less than gutting the kitchen down to the studs. Call 469-312-0990 for a free in-home visit. We walk the project with you and put your exact number in writing.
